January 2010 Passenger & Air Cargo traffic at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport
ACTIVITY OVERVIEW
January 2010
Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January 2010 was 610,026, up 6% compared to January 2009. January 2010 enplanements totaled 303,053, up 5.5%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 229,163, up 10% compared to January 2009; American Airlines passengers totaled 133,013, up 1%; Continental Airlines passengers totaled 66,194, up 2.5%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 56,283, up 64.5%; United Airlines (including SkyWest, Shuttle America, GoJet, and Mesa) passengers totaled 35,979, up 12%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 33,313, down 5.5%; U.S. Airways (including Mesa) passengers totaled 27,568, down 8%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 14,099, down 1%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 11,815.
January 2010 air cargo totaled 13,068,039 lbs., down 3% compared to January 2009. International air cargo totaled 415,537, up 47.5%. Federal Express carried 8.3 million lbs., down 4%; and United Parcel Service carried 2.2 million lbs., up 7.5%.
Air Services transferred 620,984 lbs of mail, down 2%; and 1.2 million lbs. of belly freight, down 8%.
Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 4,555 down 4%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 14,104, down 0.69%.
