November 2011 Passenger & Air Cargo traffic at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport

ACTIVITY OVERVIEW

November 2011

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for November 2011 was 756,712, up 2% compared to November 2010. November 2011 enplanements totaled 379,810, up 2%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 277,796, up 2% compared to November 2010; American Airlines passengers totaled 155,449, up 0.9%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 88,654, up 0.2%; Continental Airlines (including SkyWest and ExpressJet) passengers totaled 76,900, up 0.8%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 44,128, up 2%; United Airlines (including SkyWest, Shuttle America, GoJet, ExpressJet, and Mesa) passengers totaled 51,498, up 27%; U.S. Airways (including Mesa) passengers totaled 29,580, up 2.5%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 22,648, up 29%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 9,701, down 51%.

November 2011 air cargo totaled 12,785,778 lbs., up 7% compared to November 2010. International air cargo totaled 1,141,569, up 58.5%. Federal Express carried 8 million lbs., up 3%; and United Parcel Service carried 3.1 million lbs., up 54%.

Air Services transferred 260,581 lbs of mail, down 48.5%; and 873,633 lbs. of belly freight, down 16%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 4,428, down 15%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 14,022, down 7%.

January – November 2011 Year to Date

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January – November YTD was 8,328,522 up 5.5% compared to January – November 2010. January – November 2011 enplanements totaled 4,166,113, up 5.5%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 3,046,855 up 6.5%; American Airlines passengers totaled 1,719,967, up 3%; Delta Air Lines passengers 958,288, up 10%; Continental Airlines (including SkyWest and ExpressJet) passengers totaled 829,060, up 0.2%; United Airlines (including SkyWest, Shuttle America, GoJet, ExpressJet, and Mesa) passengers totaled 547,676, up 22%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 501,972, up 5%; U.S. Airways (including Mesa) passengers totaled 343,057, up 5%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 228,160, up 18%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 145,743, down 30%.

November YTD (January – November 2011) air cargo totaled 139,024,859 lbs., down 0.3% compared to January-November 2010. International air cargo totaled 9,825,665 lbs., up 27.5%. Federal Express carried 91.2 million lbs., down 2.5%; and United Parcel Service carried 27.3 million lbs, up 22%.

Air Services transferred 3,734,685 lbs of mail, down 24.5%; and 10.2 million lbs. of belly freight, down 13%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 52,934 for January – November YTD, down 2%. Combined operations (including Commercial and military) totaled 163,055, up 0.6%.
