The City of Austin fiscal year begins on October 1. In the Spring, the City begins the annual budget preparation process which includes opportunities for citizen participation and culminates with the adoption of a final budget in mid-September. Any comments, questions, or suggestions about the City's budget can be sent to COA.budget@ci.austin.tx.us.
